Hello Everybody!

The academic year kicks off for me today! I dropped my kids at school, and I'm looking forward to getting back into my teaching schedule! July and August were a little quieter than last year, which meant more practicing, and golf! Haha!

There are some great shows coming up in September!

September 2nd - The Prime Rib Big Band continues its residency at Irene's Pub! We have some new material this month, and there might be a bass sax appearance for the first time with this band. Show starts at 8:30pm. Get there early for a seat.

September 8th-13th - I will be holding down the Reed 3 (clarinet, bass clarinet, and baritone saxophone) book for Broadway Across Canada's production of The Great Gatsby! It's a super fun book to play - lots of clarinet solos!

September 23rd-26th - We will be premiering James McGowan's new musical, New Life, at the Gladstone Theatre. It's a jazz-rock dramedy. We recorded the  music this spring (you'll hear me on tenor saxophone and bass clarinet on the cast recording, as well as the show), and I can't wait to see the whole production together!

October 23rd-24th - Back To Black: A Tribute To Amy Winehouse. Renée Landry and I have been putting this show on for ten years, and this is the twentieth anniversary of the release of Back To Black. This show has sold out every time we've presented it, so get your tickets! See you at Irene's Pub!

December 5th, 2026 - The Convertibles at Irene's Pub! I'm looking forward to bringing the audience arrangements of 90's pop tunes with a jazz twist!

I've been active on the Low Eh! blog. this month, with a bunch of new posts planned! Check out August's posts.
